A: What is a flute laminator Used For? flute laminators use a particular film to protect your valuable prints from scratches and spills, ensuring longevity. A: Lamination increases the durability of print materials, allowing them to withstand frequent use. Lamination adds protection against fingerprints and smudges, stains and spills, tears and wrinkles, marks and abrasions, plus oil, grease, dirt, moisture and other contaminants.

A: Don't use in Hazardous areas, near water, while drinking, eating, or where small children can reach. Don't feed empty or partially filled pouches. Don't feed anything except Paper products through the flute laminator.

A: To avoid jams only laminate paper or card. Avoid attaching buttons, coins or other objects. Laminating small cut out shapes reduces the rigidity and can also cause jams (alternatively you can print everything on 1 sheet and cut out the small shapes after it is laminated).

A: It is intended for home, home office or small office use. Items not intended for use with the flute laminator include: currency, Social Security cards, thermal papers, stamps, credit cards, cards with a magnetic strip and other similar items.

A: You can laminate thicker paper, just make sure you pair it with a thinner laminate pouch. Construction paper and cardstock should be laminated with 3mil. Also, do not cut laminating pouches before lamenting or they will get stuck in the flute laminator and melt!

A: Try laminating with an iron. flute laminators cost something and you don't need them every day, so we are not surprised that most people do not have this tool for sealing foils at home. But if you need to laminate something at home, an iron and laminating foils will suffice.

A: Speckling is more commonly observed in solventless lamination. Firstly, identifying speckling involves examining the film immediately after lamination for uneven adhesive deposits. This issue is generally noticeable on the unprinted side of the film.

A: If you need more flexible options, a roll flute laminator is likely your best choice. Our roll flute laminators cover a wide variety of document widths, ranging from 9" up to 27". Automated flute laminators are ideal for standard size documents, but can also laminate small items and documents up to 11" x 17".

A: Some documents are heat-sensitive and risk being damaged when entering a thermal machine. These may include aging photos, a hand-written family recipe or ultrasound image. In summary, your hot setting works great for everyday documents, but for special pictures and documents, we recommend keeping it cold.

A: It is possible to send it through once again when it is completely heated. At times, this strategy can heat the bottom layer as well so it sticks to the paper. In the process, this gets rids of air bubbles. If your goal is to laminate an item to make it thicker, you can do this too.
